October 29, 2021News

We mourn the passing of the great Acadian poet Raymond Guy LeBlanc.

A voice of freedom and hope, he leaves us a masterful body of work that marked the beginning of modern Acadian poetry and is an important milestone in Canadian literature.

Raymond Guy LeBlanc’s poems are profoundly beautiful, and they highlight the universal nature of our daily reality, our struggles and our aspirations.

His words remain, even today, a powerful tool for emancipation and social transformation. Since the publication of “Cri de Terre” in 1972, his work continues to grow in popularity and will continue to inspire us.

We offer our deepest condolences to his family, his loved ones and to the entire literary community.”
