June 17, 2024 (Moncton Northwest) – Liberals gathered in the riding of Moncton Northwest Saturday to nominate Tania Sodhi as their candidate for the next provincial election.
Moncton Northwest is the twentieth riding where the Liberal Party is holding a nominating convention leading up to the next provincial election. Two candidates were vying to carry the Liberal banner: Tania Sodhi and Monique LeBlanc. Tania Sodhi was declared the winner once all the votes were counted.
As a realtor working within the riding, Tania has developed a deep understanding of the housing market and the unique challenges faced by residents in Moncton Northwest. Her professional background equips her with the skills to navigate complex issues and advocate for policies that support affordable housing and sustainable community development. Tania’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts and Law. A proud mom to two young girls, Tania understands the importance of building a future that benefits families and communities.
When addressing the crowd, Sodhi said, “I am not just a candidate, I am a friend, a neighbour and I understand the needs of people living in this riding. I am very excited to be joining Susan Holt and her team of candidates who will work together as a team and form the next government of New Brunswick”.
In closing the event, Holt said, “I want to thank both of these amazing women, Monique and Tania, for coming forward as candidates. We are stronger when we work together and it is this united team that will earn the trust of New Brunswickers. No matter where you live, no matter what language you speak, and no matter who you love, every voice deserves to be heard.”
