As the event began, surrounded by local supporters, caucus members, and nominated candidates, Leader of the Liberal Party of New Brunswick Susan Holt said “People want a government that will balance their needs with the needs of the debt collectors. Our team is committed to delivering balanced budgets and making sure you have access to the care you need. I know we are gaining a team member who will work his tail off. Stephen cares deeply for the people he represents and will work tirelessly for them.”
Oromocto Sunbury is the eighteenth riding where the Liberal Party is holding a nominating convention leading up to the next provincial election.
Stephen Horsman is a dedicated community member with extensive experience in provincial politics, having served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly representing the riding of Fredericton North from 2014 until 2020. Stephen worked as a Police Officer with the Fredericton City Police for more than 20 years and has also spent time working as a supply teacher in the Fredericton and Oromocto areas. When addressing the crowd, Horsman said, “I am thrilled to be the candidate for the beautiful riding of Oromocto Sunbury. I get calls every day from people looking for help, asking about housing, healthcare and infrastructure. It will take a team to bring people together and focus on the people in our communities and Susan Holt is building an incredible team of caring people ready to take action on New Brunswick’s biggest challenges. I’m so excited to be jumping back in and I look forward to helping the people of Oromocto Sunbury. Home is where your heart is, and my heart has never left Oromocto Sunbury.”
“I am thrilled to be adding Stephen to our team,” said Holt while closing the event. “It takes a team to govern New Brunswick, and I am so proud of the incredible group we are bringing together. This is the team that is going to bring balance, a focus back to local issues, and will govern as a collaborative team.”
