DEBEC – The New Brunswick Liberal Association held a nomination convention Saturday afternoon for the next provincial election on September 24, 2018. Jacqueline (Jackie) Morehouse was nominated as the Liberal candidate for Carleton-York.
Premier Brian Gallant, who is also Leader of the New Brunswick Liberal Party, was present at the nomination and commended Morehouse on her community engagement in the riding.
“Jackie Morehouse’s experience as an educator and in the private sector will be a real asset to our team as we continue to move our province forward by advancing healthcare, improving education, and growing the New Brunswick economy,” said Gallant.
Jackie Morehouse grew up in the tight-knit community of Jewetts Mills, New Brunswick. Having been raised on a small farm before transitioning to become a stay at home mom to her two daughters, Jackie knows the challenges that young rural families face. Jackie later returned to University to earn a Bachelor’s Degree both in Science and another in Education. Her teaching career included teaching at the middle and high school levels, as well as at the Mi’kmaq-Maliseet Institute at UNB. Jackie currently serves as Vice President of Customer Success at Quick Service Software, a career trajectory she credits to her strong work ethic and educational background. Supporting this government’s record when it comes to investing in the education system, as well as working with families to ensure their needs and concerns are being heard are major goals of her campaign.
Jackie Morehouse said she was honoured to receive the endorsement from the members of Carleton-York. “I’m proud to join this team of Liberal candidates who are committed to investing in education, improving healthcare, and creating good jobs for New Brunswickers.” said Morehouse.
