Social
Cindy is a graduate of St. Thomas University with a major in Political Science and has been championing children’s’ rights and the need for an improved system of care for youth and their families for over a decade. She has always had an interest in public policy and how it can best support front line services.
Her extensive career in project development and project management has spanned the private and public sector and her passions have found her in the not for profit world advocating for youth, family and community voice to always be at the centre of decision making. Cindy is the co-creator of the Provincial Organization – Dots NB, which was the result of a direct response to lack of access to services for children and youth with complex needs and their families. This organization went on to merge with Partners for Youth Inc. as their youth mental health pillar.
As the Director of Community and Government Partnerships with Partners for Youth Inc., Cindy understands the importance of inclusive and collaborative leadership. Her decades long career has included province wide consultation on issues that impact New Brunswickers. Most recently, Cindy was one of the architects of a province wide program that supports youth in accessing ongoing mental health supports within 7 days. Her work on the Provincial Roundtable on Crime & Public Safety, the Provincial Government’s Stepped Care Pathway Project, the New Child and Youth Well-Being Act and her ongoing commitment to ensuring policy and legislation is reflective of the needs of those that will be impacted will serve all New Brunswickers well.
Cindy, her husband Rick and their son Jack have lived most of their lives in this area and share their home with friends, family and a few rescue animals.
