NB Liberals Nominate Kevin Dignam in Fredericton Grand Lake

September 7, 2024 (Fredericton-Grand Lake) – Liberals gathered in the riding of Fredericton-Grand Lake to nominate Kevin Dignam as their candidate for the next provincial election. Kevin is the forty-eighth candidate to be nominated leading into the upcoming provincial election.

As the event kicked off, surrounded by local supporters and candidates, Susan Holt, leader of the NB Liberal Party shared her vision for the province, “I’ve been traveling all across the province for months, and the thing we hear the most is people are concerned about health care. What gives me hope as we face the challenge to truly transform healthcare for New Brunswickers, is the team we have built. A team of 49 dedicated community leaders and advocates for the people in their ridings and a team who knows their local issues best.”

Born and raised in the greater Fredericton area, Kevin is a lifelong resident of New Brunswick.

He has chosen to stay here, build a life, and raise a family. The small business he started 20 years ago provides water delivery for swimming pools all over our community. Kevin is also an active community volunteer with the New Maryland Lions Club where he served as President.

Kevin believes in investing in education, healthcare, and sustainable development. He is dedicated to creating a future where every child has access to quality education, every family can access the healthcare they need, and our environment is protected for generations to come.

When addressing the crowd following his nomination, Dignam said, “I’m thrilled to be joining Team Holt and look forward to working hard to earn the trust of the voters in Fredericton-Grand Lake. I will be a strong voice for everyone, from Marysville to Maquapit Lake, from Douglas Harbour to Chipman and everywhere in between.”

In closing the event, Holt said “I’m so pleased to be here today as we nominate Kevin Dignam as the final member of our amazing team. The biggest problem we have right now is we have a Premier working alone.  One man in one office in Fredericton cannot govern this province effectively. It will take a team of people working together to tackle the problems at hand and give New Brunswickers a brighter future.  No matter where you live, no matter who you love, no matter what language you speak, Team Holt is the change in leadership we need in our province today, and we will be focused entirely on you.”
