September 4th (Carleton Victoria) – Liberals gathered in the riding of Carleton Victoria to nominate Julian Moulton as their candidate for the next provincial election. Julian is the forty-seventh candidate to be nominated leading into the upcoming provincial election.
As the event kicked off, surrounded by local supporters and candidates, Susan Holt, leader of the NB Liberal Party shared her vision for the province, “New Brunswickers need balance, not piling up of massive surpluses. We can invest in healthcare and balance the budget. Healthcare professionals are telling us we need transformational change. We need teams of healthcare professionals that can work together and it’s up to the government to take the paperwork off their desks so they can focus on patient care. That’s what a Holt government will do with the creation of at least 30 collaborative care clinics all across the province so people can access care where and when they need it.”
Julian Moulton, a dedicated leader from the Tobique First Nation, has spent nearly his entire life immersed in politics and community service. At 34 years old, Julian has been an elected member of the Tobique Band Council for the past eight years, currently serving his second consecutive term. Born and raised in Carleton-Victoria on the Tobique First Nation reserve, he has always held a deep commitment to his community and its future. As a father of three—two boys and a girl—Julian’s children are the driving force behind his efforts to create a brighter future for all. He holds a certificate in Environmental Science and has worked in Environmental Monitoring for NB Power at the Tobique First Nation hydro dam, bringing his expertise to the forefront of environmental issues in the province.
As a proud Wolastoqey person, Julian is committed to eliminating the barriers that separate Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. He envisions a future where truth, friendship, and peace guide relationships, fostering unity and prosperity for all. Julian believes that by working together, much can be accomplished, ensuring that the next seven generations benefit from the actions, policies, and changes that are made today.
When addressing the crowd following his nomination, Moulton said, “New Brunswickers’ quality of life must be the primary focus, and it begins with restoring the services that the Higgs government have stripped away and allowed to deteriorate by mismanagement. Carleton Victoria needs a representative who will stand up for the people of this riding and speak out on the issues that matter most. I will advocate for the people of our riding and be a strong voice for us all in Fredericton.”
In closing the event, Holt said “I’m thrilled to welcome Julian to Team Holt, he has strong leadership skills and a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes and solutions by bringing people together to solve problems in a collaborative and respectful way. He cares deeply about his community and will represent the people of Carleton Victoria proudly in Fredericton.”
