Lisa Harris nominated as Liberal candidate in Miramichi Bay-Neguac

MIRAMICHI – The New Brunswick Liberal Association (NBLA) held its Nomination Convention for the next provincial election on September 24, 2018.  Lisa Harris, Minister responsible for Seniors and Long-Term Care as well as the Minister responsible for Celtic Affairs is the current MLA for Miramichi-Bay Neguac. She was nominated as the candidate for the Liberals in Miramichi Bay-Neguac in an uncontested meeting held Wednesday night.

 

Premier Brian Gallant, who is also Leader of the New Brunswick Liberal Party, was present at the nomination and commended Harris on her work for the riding. “Lisa cares deeply for the Neguac and Miramichi region.  She continues to be a strong advocate for our most vulnerable populations, which shines through in her role as Minister of Seniors and Long-Term Care.” said Gallant.
Proud of her track record in public service and education, Lisa Harris believes investing in people creates better opportunities for our future. Harris has a Bachelor of Adult Education degree from the University of New Brunswick and has spent most of her career in the education field. She was also a very successful entrepreneur as the former owner and operator of Grand Ole Bakery.

 

Lisa Harris said she was honoured to receive the uncontested endorsement from Miramichi Bay-Neguac. “Representing the wonderful people of Miramichi Bay-Neguac has been an honour and a privilege.  I very much appreciate the opportunity to proudly continue to do the great work we are doing in our riding” said Harris.
