Emery Comeau nominated as Liberal candidate in Kent North

RICHIBUCTO – The New Brunswick Liberal Association held a nomination convention Saturday afternoon for the next provincial election on September 24, 2018.Emery Comeau was nominated as the Liberal candidate for Kent North.
Premier Brian Gallant, who is also Leader of the New Brunswick Liberal Party, was present at the nomination and commended Comeau on his community engagement in the riding. “Emery Comeau is deeply rooted in his community and has the experience that will make him a great representative for the people of Kent North. He will be dedicated to improving the quality of life for the people in this are,” said Gallant.
Emery Comeau has been for the past 8 years the constituency assistant for Kent North MLA Bertrand LeBlanc. Emery has a wide range of career experience, such as with the Canadian Forces as a mobile support heavy equipment operator for 7 years as well as a successful entrepreneur and owner of Komo Sports for 16 years. He also contributed to the economic development of the Kent region through his involvement with CBDC Kent and the Richibucto Port Authority as a project manager.
Emery has been very involved in his community, such as with the Saint-Charles Parish Council, the Richibucto Scallop Festival (president), the Kent North Cultural Society (president), his local minor hockey association, and Hockey New Brunswick’s Junior Hockey Commission (director). He has also been involved with the New Brunswick Liberal Party for many years. He is a father of three and a proud grandfather of three, with a fourth on the way.
Emery Comeau said he was honoured to receive the endorsement from the members of Kent North. “My ultimate goal is very simple: remain honest, respectful to listen, consult people. And always, always, defend the interest of Kent North,” said Comeau. “Together, we will continue to make Kent North prosper and a great place to live.”
