Statement by Jacques LeBlanc on the National Francophone Immigration week

“In honor of the National Francophone Immigration Week and as Liberal critic for Population Growth and Immigration, I would like to recognize the immense contribution of the New Brunswick Multicultural Council (NBMC) in attracting and supporting newcomers to the province. Immigration plays an important social an economic role across the country, but as the only official bilingual province in Canada, Francophone immigration is particularly important here in New Brunswick. Our diversity is our strength and I would like to wish the NBMC and all the multicultural associations in the province and very happy National Francophone Immigration Week!”
