“New Brunswick entrepreneurs have shown unparalleled resilience in recent months. While 2020 has been difficult on small businesses owners, their entrepreneurial spirit never wavered and by working with public health, they found solutions to make stores, restaurants and service locations safer for everyone. We all owe our local business owners a big thank you for their hard work and sacrifices throughout the pandemic.

Small and medium-sized businesses are at the heart of our communities; they are the entrepreneurs who, on a daily basis, are building the future for consumers. In these uncertain times, it is more important than ever to support our local entrepreneurs here in New Brunswick. That is why, as Opposition Critic for Small Business, I have called on the Higgs Government to provide financial support to the sectors that are disproportionately affected by mandated closures and to provide temporary targeted financial support to help these businesses survive the outbreaks.
