DEBEC – The New Brunswick Liberal Association held a nomination convention Saturday afternoon for the next provincial election on September 24, 2018. Christy Culberson was nominated as the Liberal candidate for Carleton.

Premier Brian Gallant, who is also Leader of the New Brunswick Liberal Party, was present at the nomination and commended Culberson on her community engagement in the riding.

“Christy’s business experience and community involvement will make her a strong voice for Carleton county as we continue to grow New Brunswick’s economy, strengthen our healthcare system, and improve education in our province” said Gallant.

Christy was born and raised in Woodstock, NB. She currently resides in Upper Woodstock with her two young adult children. Christy’s interests are plentiful, and she enjoys a myriad of recreational activities in the region, from organizing triathlons to sitting as an executive of the local minor basketball association. Christy graduated from UNB-Fredericton with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has spent the majority of her adult life in the agriculture industry. She currently works in the dynamic and challenging potato industry as a Project Manager, facilitating the transfer of information between industry partners and the 75+ processors and growers in New Brunswick’s potato belt.

Christy Culberson said she was honoured to receive the endorsement from Carleton’s liberal members. “I’m excited to hit the campaign trail,” said Culberson. “I am proud to have earned the support of liberals in this riding, and I’m looking forward to earning the support of voters across Carleton county.”

The list of official contestants for nominations is available on the New Brunswick Liberal Party’s website at nbliberal.ca.
