Shediac-Beaubassin-Cap-Pelé

LeBlanc has been involved in the municipal political scene in Shediac for the last 10 years. He was elected as Municipal Councillor to the Shediac Town Council for the first time in May 2008. After serving his four-year term, he decided to run for Mayor in the May 2012 elections.

His innovative ideas and dynamic leadership quickly convinced the citizens of Shediac that he was the right man for the job; and on May 14, 2012, he was given the mandate to lead the municipality. He was re-elected as Mayor by acclamation at the 2016 elections. Among his achievements as Mayor, he has been a promoter of municipal smart growth and helped maintain fiscal responsibility.

First elected to the New Brunswick Legislative Assembly in September 2018, Mr. Leblanc wants to bring the same energy to the job as he did during all the years he spent at the municipal level. He currently serves as the critic for Fisheries and Aquaculture & Agriculture.

LeBlanc graduated from the Université de Moncton with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He has been working as an accountant for the Villa Providence in Shediac since 1992. His wife, Denise Léger, owns physiotherapy clinics with offices in Shediac and Cap-Pelé; the couple has two children, Stéphane and Annie.
