Social

Raised in Fredericton New Brunswick, Susan has both local and global business experience having worked in sales, human resources, and global management roles with large information technology (IT) firms. She also has experience in community leadership, provincial and national advocacy, and social enterprise leadership, as well as experience within government working on social and economic policy. Passionate about community involvement, Susan has been a volunteer and donor with organizations like the NB Lung Association, JEDI, Junior Achievement, Propel ICT, NB Association for Community Living, Fredericton Homeless Shelters, and more. She has degrees in Chemistry and Economics from Queens University.

Susan is perfectly bilingual thanks to New Brunswick’s early immersion program, paired with continued practice and a strong commitment to the French language. She, her husband Jon and their three young children are passionate about New Brunswick’s environment and outdoors as avid hikers, runners, and campers.

Open, transparent, inclusive, and empathetic leadership is the cornerstone of Susan’s vision for the Party. Susan envisions a New Brunswick where everyone has access to the health care they need, where we lead the world in combating climate change, and we lean into digital transformation to provide better services and access to information.

Susan is passionate about people-focused policy that makes our lives better. She believes in empowered communities that are environmentally friendly, age-friendly, inclusive, and vibrant, where everyone has an affordable place to call home; where high-quality education and bold ideas drive a robust economy that allows every New Brunswicker to thrive.

Susan will promote unified and respectful politics in New Brunswick. This includes a pride in New Brunswick’s bilingualism and a deep commitment to true reconciliation with Indigenous peoples. She will work towards a New Brunswick that recognizes that diversity is our strength and that our democracy is stronger when everyone can participate fully.
