Since taking office in 2014, this Liberal government has had a consistent record of achieving real results for the people of New Brunswick. We have cut the deficit in half, all the while investing more in education, more in health care, and growing the economy year after year.

Weve turned around our economy – creating thousands of jobs and lowering the unemployment rate. Our government directly contributed to the creation of more than 15,000 jobs; giving the job market in New Brunswick a much-needed boost and creating opportunities for families to stay and live here in our beautiful province. We’ve raised the minimum wage four times, average earnings for New Brunswickers is growing, and we’ve grown the economy each year of our mandate.

Weve focused on education –  making record investments in our schools and restoring French immersion to grade one. We’re proud of this government’s 10-year education plan, the roadmap to restore stability in our school system and achieve better results for New Brunswick’s young people. The Free Tuition and Tuition Relief for the Middle-Class programs are giving thousands of students the opportunity to follow their dreams and pursue their post-secondary education at our public community colleges and universities.

Were reducing health care wait times – this Liberal government has been focused on improving access and the quality of healthcare in New Brunswick since day one. There are over 90 net new doctors practicing in our province today compared to 2014, we’re adopting team-based patient care, hiring more nurse practitioners, and we’re committed to investing in healthcare until each and every New Brunswicker has access to primary health care.

And were committed to making New Brunswick the best place to live and raise a family – We have taken several steps toward achieving our goal of making our province a fairer and more equal home for New Brunswick women and girls. We’re very proud to have stepped up in combating climate change with our plan that brings no new cost to New Brunswickers, and we’ve adopted a new winter holiday – Family Day.

We’ve made a lot of progress over the last 4 years, let’s keep moving forward.
