DESCRIPTION:The New Brunswick Women’s Liberal Commission (NBWLC) is thrilled to announce that we will be holding our Biennial Convention on Saturday\, April 12 of this year\, from 1:00pm until 4:30pm\, at Ecole Sainte-Anne School\, (Salle Beausoleil) 715 Priestman St. Fredericton\, and we invite you to join us! \nThis exciting event will include: \n➢ An “All-Star Powerhouse” Fireside Chat Panel discussion \n➢ The launch of\, and voting on\, of our newly formed local Chapters (see attachment) \n➢ NBWLC Business – voting on our Newly Revised Constitution\, and Election of the Executive: President\, Vice-President\, Secretary\, Treasurer (see attachment) (Only NBWLC members will be eligible to vote) \n➢ Tony Barry Fund Annual General Meeting\, voting on our Newly Revised Constitution\, and Election of the Board: President\, Vice President\, Secretary\, Treasurer\, 6 (six) Directors (see attachment) (voting open to all NBLA members) \n➢ Exciting Silent Auction\, featuring a circa 1850 originally crafted Nisbet N.B. Legislative Council Chamber Desk\, with all proceeds going to the Tony Barry Fund in support of female candidates. \nThe NBWLC works to foster awareness among women of the Liberal Party\, and to encourage and support all women to participate in our political system\, as well as to assist those women who run for/are elected to office in New Brunswick. DESCRIPTION:The Hanwell-New Maryland Liberal Association will be holding their candidate nominating convention on July 31st\, 2024 at 7:00pm at the Hanwell Community Centre\, 5 Nature Park Drive\, Hanwell\, NB. \nThe deadline for candidates to submit their nomination papers to the NBLA was July 20th\, 2024 at 4:30 pm.  The deadline has now passed\, there will be three people on the ballot: \nKevin Dignam\, Clint Kingsbury and Cindy Miles. \nAll members in good standing of the New Brunswick Liberal Association living in the riding of Hanwell-New Maryland as of July 27th\, 2024 at 4:30pm will be eligible to vote at this in-person convention. You must be present to vote\, mail in and proxy voting is not permitted. \nEarly voting will be available from 5:30pm-7:00pm\, the convention will be called to order at 7:00pm and voting will continue following the speeches until such time everyone has had the opportunity to vote.
