Candidate for VP Provincial – René Ephestion, Shediac Bay-Dieppe

René EPHESTION is a Franco-Canadian who settled with his wife Claire and his two children, Ethan and Tessa, in the City of Dieppe.

René is fluent in both official languages. As part of his education, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law-Economy-Management with a major in Law and Human Resources.

Businessman at heart, for 6 years he owned and ran a commercial agency with his wife that sold high-end candles in North America, allowing him to experience the challenges of being an entrepreneur in New Brunswick. René has a busy professional career in banking and human resources for major French companies.

Having settled in Dieppe since 2015, René has decided to dedicate himself to his community by being involved in various organizations and associations, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of CAFI in Moncton which helps immigrants integrate in a sustainable manner into our communities, as Chairman of the New Brunswick Public Libraries Board and as a director of the Canadian Association for Supported Employment.

This community involvement gave him the desire to go further and help more.  This is why René became the Executive Director of organizations such as the Maison Nazareth in Moncton, an emergency shelter for homeless people and also the New Brunswick Association for Supported Services and Employment which advocates on behalf of people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in New Brunswick to help them achieve meaningful lives and participation in the community.

As a member of the Liberal Party since 2017, René has been president of the Multicultural Inclusion Commission and also candidate for the riding of Moncton Southwest in the 2020 provincial election.
