Candidate for VP Provincial – John Urquhart, Gagetown-Petitcodiac


John was born a Liberal in 1973, and grew up on the family farm in Kars NB.

Besides learning to farm growing up John also learned how to do mechanical work, and carpentry work which he still does to this day.


John graduated from BRHS in 1991, upon graduation John started building his home, which he moved into at 18yrs of age.


John started his first (real) business Urquhart Light Trucking at 15 yrs of age, and had to hire someone to drive for him as he didn’t have a driver’s license yet.


John now owns Jake of All Trades General Carpentry.  He still lives on the family farm raising livestock.


Over the years John has sat on several boards and committees: vp Belleisle ferry committee, Kars LSD advisory committee, created the Kars recreation society, SNB wood marketing board, president Belleisle community pool association, Gagetown-Petitcodiac riding association (former vp), started the community cares baskets for local families at Christmas time. John is now looking forward to having the opportunity of being the next provincial vp of the NBLA.
