Candidate for VP Policy – Réal Gervais, Madawaska Les Lacs-Edmundston
Let me introduce myself, my name is Réal Gervais and I am a candidate for vice-president policy for the Liberal Association of NB.
I am soliciting your support as I believe I have the experience and skills to serve the party and the people of NB; especially in the fields of policy development and the revitalization of our party. Being bilingual and having spent my entire career collaborating as a team player, I am committed to the equality of our linguistic communities and the reconciliation with our First Nations.
Professionally, I am a graduate in education from the Université de Moncton and began my career as a guidance counselor in the Acadian Peninsula. Subsequently, I held several positions at NBCC in Bathurst NB where I was responsible for offering training to diverse companies and I also assumed responsibilities for organizational development. After my years working for the New Brunswick Community College at the Bathurst campus, I served as General manager for the City of Edmundston for and subsequently became Assistant Deputy Minister at the Department of Environment and Local Governments.
Now more than ever, we require effective and realistic solutions to meet environmental challenges, the problematic of domestic violence as well as in many other sectors of human activities, but above all, we require innovative strategies in order to create and assure sustainable economic development. The first step in developing innovative and progressive solutions is the development of policies that will be used in the preparation of an election platform. If I get your trust, I will commit to putting together a team that will be representative of all the people of New Brunswick! Open to discussion and different points of views, I will be accessible and transparent!
These are the values that drive me!
I wish all delegates an excellent biennial meeting and a great session at the Legislative Assembly for our MLAs.
