April 9th, 2024 (Champdoré-Irishtown) – Liberals gathered in the riding of Champdoré-Irishtown Monday evening to nominate Lyne Chantal Boudreau as their candidate for the next provincial election. 

 

As the event began, Leader of the Liberal Party of New Brunswick Susan Holt said “I’m so excited to welcome Lyne to our team.  She brings with her a wealth of experience having worked in the public school system for 20 years as a resource teacher and school principal before earning her doctorate in education.”

 

Champdoré-Irishtown is the twelfth riding where the Liberal Party is holding a nominating convention leading up to the next provincial election.  

 

Lyne Chantal Boudreau has been a professor of administration at the Université de Moncton since 2017. She is known for her community involvement, providing leadership from an inclusive perspective for important social causes such as social justice, equity, the establishment of environments of respect and consent, and the development of initiatives to counter family and domestic violence. She owns a social enterprise specializing in fashion which donates a percentage of net profits to counter domestic and family violence, and is co-owner of a non-profit organization offering training on consent and healthy relationships in all environments. For Lyne Chantal, education symbolizes the key to a society that is free, respectful, and committed to its development.

 

When addressing the crowd, Boudreau said, “I encourage others to join me in choosing the values of the Liberal Party to support people from all regions of our province. Let’s be that inclusive society that listens to its people. Let’s unite our strengths, our ideas, our voices, and our actions to create a province that is a leader in social, economic, and environmental programs.

 

In closing the event, Holt said, “Our team is the one who cares about the best interests of New Brunswickers, no matter where they live, no matter what language they speak and no matter who they love.  We are ready to earn trust and demonstrate what strong and empathetic leadership looks like., and with people like Lyne Chantal Boudreau on our team, I know we will succeed.”
