Fredericton (January 23, 2024) – Ahead of the State of the Province address, the Liberal team released a video that outlines their vision for New Brunswick highlighting that a Holt government will bring people together, prioritize transparency, and listen to New Brunswickers when making decisions.
“The upcoming State of the Province should be an opportunity for the Premier and the government to take stock of what’s working, but most importantly, where we can and must improve to make life better for New Brunswickers,” says Liberal Leader Susan Holt. “Unfortunately, we’re expecting to see more patting themselves on the back, while New Brunswickers struggle to find a family doctor, a long-term care bed for their loved one, or an affordable, accessible place to call home.”
It captures the party’s plans to create accessible healthcare close to home, make life more affordable with concrete solutions like taking the tax off electricity bills and introducing a rent cap, and envisions a thriving Education system where students have the food, the teachers, the infrastructure, and the stability they need to succeed.
“You deserve a government that is focused on you, that cares about the things that you care about, and that will work with you to tackle these big challenges and to seize the amazing opportunities that are at our fingertips,” said Susan Holt. “New Brunswick is small, but it is mighty.
