The New Brunswick Liberal Association is happy to announce that the winner of the 2022 Leadership Race is Susan Holt. The results were announced this afternoon in front of Liberal members at the Leadership Convention in Fredericton.

“I am honoured that so many New Brunswickers put their trust in me to lead this storied party.

I want to thank the fellow candidates for running respectful and thoughtful campaigns.

Traveling the province over the last months it has been clear that New Brunswickers want change and need hope. They want a new kind of politics based on respect, transparency, empathy, and collaboration – what I call politics UNusual.

Now the hard work begins as we shake up and refresh our party and offer an alternative brand of politics. One that rebuilds trust and renews hope.”

9,400 Liberal members from across the province signed up to vote and 78.9% cast their votes in the 2022 Leadership Race.

“With four strong candidates, we had a very successful Leadership Race over the last few months culminating in an exciting convention”, said Party President, Brian Murphy. “I am confident Susan Holt is the person we need to lead us to a Liberal victory in 2024!”
