The Liberal Party is proud to announce that over a thousand Liberal delegates from across the province have registered to participate in the Party’s first virtual biennial convention on January 23, 2020.

“In speaking with Liberals since becoming interim Leader, I could sense the momentum building within the Party’s membership and I am thrilled to see that reflected in the number of people participating in our upcoming biennial,” says interim Liberal leader Roger Melanson. “Next Saturday, 1120 liberals from across the province will be part of the first virtual biennial convention and a brand-new Executive will be elected. This is an exciting time for the Liberal Party!”

The registration for the biennial was open from December 11th to December 28th, 2020. As a registered delegate, each participant will also be eligible to vote for the Liberal Party’s new Executive. Voting began on January 11th, 2021 and ends at 12pm January 22nd, 2021.

“Beginning 2021 with a new Executive and a motivated membership will allow the Party to realize its full potential.” says Melanson. “Our province is facing serious social and economic problems that need to be addressed. While we may be in opposition for now, the Liberal Party will continue to fight for the most vulnerable and in when time comes to elect a new government, we will be ready.”
