“I am thankful for the confidence that the Liberal Caucus has placed in me, said Melanson, and I am eager to assume my new role as Interim Leader of the Official Opposition”.

Melanson believes the Liberal Opposition will play a crucial role in bringing forth new ideas and protecting the interests of New Brunswickers.

“Premier Higgs wanted a majority government to carry through with his hidden agenda. New Brunswickers can be confident that he will not do so without being held to account”, said Melanson.
