Karen Ludwig was officially nominated as the Liberal candidate for the riding of Saint Croix at the nomination convention in St. Stephen today.

“I would like to congratulate Karen Ludwig and welcome her to our New Brunswick Liberal team of current and future MLAs!” said Liberal leader Kevin Vickers. “She has a great deal of experience and I know she will be a strong voice of fairness and compassion for the people of this riding, fighting for jobs and economic development and protecting important services, like health care.”

The riding of Saint Croix has been vacant since the passing of Greg Thompson in September.

“The people of Saint Croix have been without representation in the Legislative assembly for too long,” added Vickers. “Premier Higgs needs to stop delaying these by elections and do what’s right for the people of New Brunswick.”

Karen Ludwig is proud to call Saint Croix her home for over three decades, where she and her husband raised their family.   Karen taught Business at NBCC-St. Andrews and was the Member of Parliament for New Brunswick Southwest (2015-2019); she and her husband operated businesses; and their grandchildren live in Saint Croix.
