Today’s report in the media clearly shows the Higgs government is failing New Brunswickers in addressing our serious nursing shortage.

The University of New Brunswick put a potential solution on the table for this government on the nursing shortage and the post-secondary education minister refused to even discuss it with them. That is unacceptable.

Trevor Holder ignored UNB’s request to discuss the issue and then cancelled a badly needed program without consultation. That seems to be how this government operates. Under a Higgs government our nursing shortage and access to health care is only going to get worse. New Brunswickers deserve better than this.
