Swearing-in Ceremony

FREDERICTON – Liberal Leader Brian Gallant was sworn into the Legislative Assembly today as the Leader of the Official Opposition and MLA for Kent.

“I am truly honored to be sworn in as the member for Kent and as the Leader of the Official Opposition,” said Gallant. “I look forward to working with my Opposition team members, as well as government members, in a new, collaborative approach. We have heard from people in Kent and all around the province that people are tired of politics as usual. We need to work together to grow the economy, create jobs and tackle unemployment.”

The ceremony was presided over by the Hon. Graydon Nicholas and was standing room only, as several members of Gallant‘s family, friends and supporters attended.

“I would also like to thank the people of Kent County, who have opened their doors and shared their opinions, thoughts and concerns with me.” Gallant said. “Their support has been humbling, and I assure them that I will continue to work hard to represent them in the Legislature.”
