Candidate & Campaign Manager Recruitment
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Liberal Members,
As you know, red is back! We’d like to recruit you to join in our election preparations.
With Justin Trudeau and Brian Gallant, the Liberal Party has dynamic new leaders at both the federal and provincial level; they are both committed to ensuring that women and men are fairly represented at all levels. The Liberal Party of Canada made big election wins in the month of May, with Yvonne Jones in Labrador becoming an MP in a by-election and in British Columbia, Premier Christy Clark’s Liberal government winning another term.
In New Brunswick, many developments are already in progress, none more important or pressing than identifying and recruiting women candidates for the next Provincial election to be held in September 2014. New working committees will soon be formed, with talented and experienced men and women—like you.
The New Brunswick Women’s Liberal Commission (NBWLC) will play a key role in the recruitment process. We invite you to tell us about your interests and experience and urge you to consider seeking the Liberal Party nomination in your riding, identifying someone you know who might be recruited to run, or volunteering to help organize a candidate’s campaign.
If you have an interest in getting more involved but wonder if you have the necessary skills and knowledge, we want you to know that there will be support to help you. Several “campaign colleges” are being organized where you can get answers to your questions and meet up with mentors and advisors. We want a diverse group of women of all ages and backgrounds.
We need women’s voices in the Legislature and the House of Commons. Please get involved. A first step is to answer the following short questions and email or mail them back to the NBLA at the address below as soon as possible.
Thank you for your continued interest and involvement in the Liberal Party.
