Campos is President and CEO of Community Grants Associates Inc., a consulting firm focusing on developing different funding strategies for non-profit organizations, colleges and universities, cities and counties. Her expertise includes, among other areas, programs involving education, health, transportation, economic development, domestic violence, human rights and social service programs. Campos came to Canada at the age of 12 with her mother as a refugee from war-torn Nicaragua, settling in Hamilton, Ont. She has lived in Moncton since 2001. A member of the very active Moncton West and Riverview Rotary Club since 2009, she is the club’s past president has been recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow three times. As well, she has been involved in many local community boards and committees, including: board member of the Moncton Headstart Foundation; lay representative board member for the New Brunswick Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists (NBSMLT); board member for the Greater Moncton SPCA; board member and vice-president for Greater Moncton Big Brothers Big Sisters; fundraising committee member for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB); fundraising campaign cabinet member for Moncton Youth Residences (now Youth Impact); committee member for the Daffodil Ball gala fundraiser for the New Brunswick Division of the Canadian Cancer Society; and a volunteer instructor for the Greater Moncton YMCA.
Campos holds a master’s degree in international relations and political theory from McMaster University in Hamilton and an MBA from the Université de Moncton. She also holds a combined honours degree in political science and history from McMaster University.
